Operations Manager
Sally Pratt, BA (Hons)

I am a committed and enthusiastic Early Years Professional. I have extensive experience of working collaboratively with private, voluntary and independent early years childcare providers. I am passionate about early years and working in partnership with families and practitioners to enable all children in our community to have the best possible start in life through raised expectations, in high quality, effective provision.

I started my career in 1997 as a volunteer Early Years Practitioner in a local community pre-school. Training and professional development resulted in gaining a managerial position in the same pre-school. I developed the quality of practice, expanded to a second setting and achieved an outstanding inspection outcome within 7 months of opening. I moved on to work as an advisor for the local authority, working with a diverse range of childcare settings. I value the importance of continual professional development. I achieved my Foundation Degree in Early Years Care and Education and gained a First Class Honours Degree in Education and Training Studies. I went on to complete a PGCE in Further Education and Training, which enabled me to teach Early Year Professionals on the Foundation Degree.

I have had the pleasure of working with Naval Under Fives since 2008 in an advisory and consultancy capacity. I am now developing this working relationship further, strengthening the infrastructure of support to ensure every setting within Naval Under Fives provide quality care and education so we achieve the best possible outcomes for all the children in our community.
