Naval Under Fives preschools and nurseries are busy and fun packed places to be. We help the children develop social skills by learning to play along with the adults and other children, share and take turns and develop the skills to learn across the curriculum. From taking their first steps and saying those first words to playing games, learning phonics, there’s so much for children to do, learn and take in.
Tapestry covers the Early Years Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2 groups and is designed to simplify and improve recording within these curricula. Information can be filtered and displayed in different ways, and assessments and statements can be made for each entry.

Tapestry helps to enhance this special time we have with the children. It helps us capture those special moments as well as develop a good understanding of each child’s development and learning. This unique journal is shared online with parents, who are able to see special moments and view their child’s progress through a secure application on computers and mobiles. Naval Under Fives especially find this useful as many of our parents can spend time away from their families due to their roles within the armed forces.
Parents are able to upload text, images and videos through the mobile app – anywhere there’s an online connection. Every entry helps to create a complete story of a child’s time at nursery, pre-school.
When children leave our settings, we can provide parents with a permanent version of their child’s journal as a keepsake, either as a hard copy or loaded onto a memory stick that we ask parents to provide.
